Again in the Pitch set up video Raptorrecker shoes that at zero pitch you should have the Bell mixers set Level. when I have adjusted mine to be level the blades have about 2 degrees of positive pitch, the short links that go from the bell mixers to the hub are fully tightened so I cannot tighten them in the sames way RR does in his video, all I can adjust to get the blades to zero pitch is the long links down to the swash, this leaves the bell mixers set slightly down on that side as I cannot wind in the short links and further so although I have zero pitch at center stick I no longer have level Mixers
Is this OK?

Is it possible to trim the bases of your ball links to bring them in closer together?

Can you use the long links to the swash to level the mixing arms? Then you would have to loosen the short links to level the blades.
Reverse your approach to solving the problem.

Paul the Problem I hace is with the short links done up all the way as it says in the manual, when the mixer is level I still have some positive pitch, loosening the short link would only add to this not take it away.

Perhaps setup isn't Paul's strong suit  You will have to shorten the short links by trimming them. It's the only way. Me thinks head was once intended to be centered around hover back in the day. It is afterall an old head design.

Actually I'm quite good at setting up my birds, thanks to a certain batch of videos I found here on the freak. :glasses2: I just don't know that much about MA specifically. Oh well!
If you're the Team Mastercard Rep, then I'm the Team Visa Rep.! :arggg:
I have set up a few MA birds for 3D and I ALLWAYS have to trim the ball links on the short link to get zero pitch with everything level. I usualy trim about 1-2mm off each link. I try to trim just enough to make 0 degrees, or you will have a gap between the links. I think it may even be in the manual. The important thing is to set up the head level, at 0 degrees. I think the reason for the trimming is that you only need 4 short links per 3D kit, It really does not justify manufacturing a shorter link. Also the FAI guys run about 2 degrees positive at center so the links are trimmed per application, depending on your set-up. The trim to fit method makes the link fit your set-up. I like it that way.
