I've gotten to the point where I can hover in all orentations except inverted. I'm just starting to do a little FF with my 450 and hopefully soon with my 600n. My goal right now is to become a good sport pilot and maybe someday some 3d. My question is should I use the softer dampners or go with the firmer ones? Is there any advantage to one over the other? Soft is ok if just hovering but when you get into flight and going inverted you want to go harder to get it more lively and responsive to your stick inputs ands also you don't want to have a BOOM strike so that is also the main reason to go to a stiffer dampner to control the teetering of the spindle and blades when flying and donig auto's or inverted flying.

The soft ones will get chewed up pretty fast. I'm at the flat figure-8 stage and run the hard ones with no problems.

So what dampners are we running for hard 3D? Wildman or whatever? I run those on my Sky Shark and love them.

You know what's funny is I fly decent 3D but I think I am going to be doing a month of hovering when I get done building mine. :P I am pretty rough on my 450 helis though so I imagine that is probably not so true. You always tell yourself that before you take off then two seconds later that tail folds underneath and you are arrowing off tail first inverted.. lol
