I have come across this tools a few times but still couldn't figure out how it works.
Is there anyone has used it?

I have one for my T-Rex 450. It sits on top of the swashplate.

yes it sits on top of the swash...you have to take off the head...(PIA) then you raise the swash to diferent levels and if all is right the swash will touch the leveler at all points...if it's off you'll see a gap and you can make adjustments. It is a good way to see if the swash has any interaction as it moves up & down...

i just made myself (out of 1/16th cf sheet) a zero alignment tool that sells for $12 for free! i made it to trex 450 spec, and have ordered one for the 550. we'll see how much of a difference there is.

Thanks for the link, it really explained everything.
This is a very good tools, but the problem is we need to remove the whole head except the swashplate.....I'm a lazy guy....
Hope that someone will come out a new tools that able to serve the same purpose and without removing the head.

Would you mind to show off your tools?

you want pics of the tools i built it with, or a pic of the finished item? i'll do ya one better and post up both when i get home from work. just used 1/16th" (i think) cf sheet, a bandsaw to cut it (gotta be careful to cut it perfectley) and a drill press. i used some helimax frame standoff spacers to put in between the two cf rectangles. pics will be up this evening.

I believe the difference with the rectangular one is your only checking it at one spot..
you slip it under the swash at (hopefully mid stick) but it won't show if you have any servo interaction at high or low pitch setting like the one that slips on the shaft.
I would be interested to know from someone that has used the shaft type if they found a servo problem and corrected it....if the heli felt or flew any better.

I have (had) both the small carbon fiber one and the one that slips over the main shaft. If you have the plastic Hurri frame, don't bother with the carbon fiber one as the top of the frame is not level, it tips slightly backward. My dog recently got a hold of it and it won't be leveling anything anymore.
The one that slips over the main shaft is the best and quickest to get you swash exactly level and to have perfect end points on all three cyclic servos.

better late then never i guess. the cf pieces are 10.5mm X 20mm, with a helimax frame standoff and two m3 (i think) nuts on either side of the standoff. all held together with a nut and screw. once i was sure that it was squared up right, i used some ca glue to hold it true. idk how it compairs to the zero alignment tools the ready sells, but i'll try it out tonight or tomorrow when i install my new servos in my 450.
