Hi all,
I'm new to this forum so hopfully I can get some help with this problem, because frankly I'm stumped.
I have an HDX 300 with the following equipment.
MS hornet carbon blades
Eflight park 400 inrunner
Hitech HS56B servos
Gy401 gyro
Briefly I have had quite a few flights on this little fellow, nothing crazy like 3d yet but mainly just cruising the front yard/street. I have never had a crash with it, but I did have a ball link seperate off the swash plate during run up one time.
This caused the rotor head to kind of grenade, The main shaft was bent and it stripped one of the servo gears, but that was it. I checked the aluminum parts for damage and the only thing else that was destroyed was the aluminum anti rotation deal that the swash pin rides up and down.
Fast forward to now. After putting this guy back together I flew it a few more times. Well as luck would have it, if fell off my work bench, due to the old style landing gear. I thought I bent the tail rotor shaft, when I ran it up later that day, the tail rotor fragged out on me.
Instead of buying another hardend steel shaft I got a 30 inch section of 2mm Titanium rod from smallparts.com and made another shaft.
I also balanced the main rotor system/ tail rotor blades/ tail rotor system
I broke the small heilidirect tail rotor blades so I used some 400 sized blades from a belt CP.
Since this problem developed I have a bad tail rotor vibration. To the point where I have bent 3 of my titanium shafts. I cant figure out whats causing it.
I got some new helidirect blades today so it wasnt a blade quality problem.
I did find tonight that the bolts that hold the tail rotor blade grips were bent and I replaced those.
I found out last night that my spindle shaft was ever so slightly bent. (not visible to the naked eye/only when rolled on glass)
Does anyone have any idea whats causing this vibe. Its really annoying and makes me want to give up on micros all together for something larger than a T-Rex
Any help would be apprecieated.
