View Full Version : Futaba s9001 servo for throttle?

Will the Futaba 9101 (old servo) be ok for my throttle? I don't want a throttle servo failure but I can get this for cheap as long as it doesn't fail for now. Worried about it holding up on a nitro.

What are some options for throttle I know s9252 but I don't even need a digital servo for throttle right?

I need someone who knows servo stuff. Is this compatible with my AR7000? Will it melt under fumes of a nitro?

The 9001 came with the 9C for years. Many of us put them to work before they got upgraded. Nice reliable, coreless, std servo. Nothing special but they work fine. They will work fine with your 7000, just trim the tab. Throttle is a good place for one. I ran one on a rR50 for years. However, many governors do better with a decent digital.

Mine tend to live in planks now.

Thanks I appreciate you replying. I wanted to keep the digitals on my bird to 4 plus the gyro. I am going to use this servo for now if I can get it for cheap like I think I may be able to do. Then maybe step it up next.

I know I shouldn't be rushing to get my NSP flying but I can't help it. :roll: I want to get past the nervous stage and throw this thing around like I do the 450.

Edit:
I decided to take your advice and not put an analog servo on my throttle. I will hold out and get the right stuff.
