Since my rebuild after a boom strike the belt seems to get thrown off those two guides in between the tail boom and the motor, from what I can tell the main plastic gear seems a tad low thus causing the belt to hit the bottom ridge on the guides?

anybody had this probelm? what is the cure?

The thing I seem to notice is before the crash the main gear wouldn't turn backwards or was very stiff, would imagine the one way bearing was stopping it in some way now it seem to turn backwards ( by hand ) should it?

A lot of the kits have that problem. The only fix I know of is the torque tube upgrade or you can use smaller collars from microheli. There's a thread in here somewhere where I did the MH collar mod before TT was out.

Thanks Paul, just seems like the main gear wont go up far enough and the collars are underneath the main gear and below that bottom brace. I could do a mod and lower the belt guides but this really should be a last option, it is only a few mill. out

The MicroHeli blade cp pro hardened main shaft is the same ID as the Gaui 3mm. It comes with a smaller (not as tall) collar that you can replace the stock Gaui upper (above the main gear) collar with. This will raise the main gear slightly to be inline with the pulleys.

Thanks Paul that seems like the way to go forward, I will check it out now. was going to try and machine the collars I have down but be better to get something already done.
