I have just bought some braided covering for my servo wires and just want to know do I have to cut the connector off then re-solder or is there another way to remove the plug. Hi Tec and Futaba servos.

Using the point of an xacto blade, you can carefully lift up the locking tab on the plastic connector and remove the wire and pin.
Be very careful and do not lift the tab any higher than required to disengage the pin. If you distort the locking tab by lifting it too high, it will no longer hold your pin securely in place.
Of course it goes without saying that you must be certain to get the wires back in the connector in the correct order.
