In all three of my helis I am expeirencing the same problem.
I got
Beam E4 w/ 401 and 9257 K&B tail blades
Mikado Logo 500 3D w/ 401 9254 and K&B tail blades
Align T-Rex 600 Nitro Pro w/ 401 9254 and Align black carbon tail blades

So with all three helis, I can do a tail slide then full nose down cyclic along with popping the collective. The goal is to end up nose in inverted.

In all three helis I end up with the tail at about 10 O' clock. It's very annoying.

I'm pretty sure I am not putting in inadvertent rudder input. I've tightened down the rudder stick and put in rudder expo. I've setup all three helis the same. Zero trim and subtrim. Servo horn at 90 degrees in rate mode. ALso, the linkage is adjusted so I can hover with zero trim and subtrim in rate mode.

I'm starting to think the 401 just isn't up to the task of holding the tail in a high collective/cyclic pop. Maybe better tail blades would help. I think my setup is good. I'm planning on getting a spartan one of these days, but am hoping I can do something to improve the performance of my current gyros!
