View Full Version : TJ Pro Only Working in Super Servo Mode

I've calibrated and re-calibrated my TJ Pro, but no matter what I do, it keeps going into super servo mode.

I run the calibration routine and when I lower the throttle, the LED turns yellow and stays that way. I've been over the instructions a dozen times and can't see what I could possibly be wrong.

Any suggestions?

your calibrating in normal mode right? not using a v-curve?

:?:

Yes, throttle curve is linear. No V-curve.

I had the same problem with my 8103. I had the TJ set to use the flight mode switch, using an Aux3 ---> Aux 3 Mix so that Norm mode TJ was off, and TJ was active in Mode 1 and 2.

My initial setup was a piece of cake and calibration was fine, however I went to re-calibrate it and it stuck in super servo mode. After much fiddling, I ENABLED the Aux 3 mix, and re calibrated. This enabled me to exit the calibration and the TJ stayed in normal servo mode. Then I DISABLED the mix per the instructions, re calirated as per the instructions and it stayed in Normal servo mode. Hope it helps.

Hmmm, mine did the EXACT same thing. It was working fine, but I changed the throttle setup and had to re-calibrate. That's when the super servo problem started.

I'm also using AUX 3, but I'm not using any mixing. If my radio (old PCM10) will mix to flight modes, I sure can't figure it out. So I just have it set up to activate/deactivate the TJ using only the AUX 3 switch. In NORMAL and HOLD modes, my throttle curve goes below 25% to turn off the TJ (even if it's activated via AUX 3). In IDLE 1 and IDLE 2, the curve stays above 26%.

I calibrated it in NORMAL mode with the trim lowered and a temporary linear throttle curve. Just as a test, I also set the throttle ATV's to exactly 100%. Still didn't make any difference. :?

Okay

disable all your mixes and just assign the TJ Aux to a 3 position switch which is set -100 to 0 to +100 atv

Set your throttle curve to a straight line Atv's from -90 to + 90

Re-run calibration

Set your throttle curve to a straight line Atv's from -100 to + 100

Re-run calibration

Set your throttle curve to a straight line Atv's with your correct numbers

Re-run calibration

This should reset the TJ Pro back to default...

Now you can re-enable mixes etc and you should be okay

Galifrey,

I will try that and report back how it works.

One question: Can you clarify what you mean by this:
Set your throttle curve to a straight line Atv's from -90 to + 90

Do you mean set the throttle ATV to 90% at Hi stick and 90% on Lo stick with a straight throttle curve?

No joy

Tried this step by step, but the end result was the same. Still stuck in super servo mode.

I tried lowering the throttle ATV to 80% and it worked, but as soon as I recalibrated with the proper setting, it went back to super servo mode.

This is exactly what I'm doing:

I enter calibration mode with throttle ATV set to 100/100, 90/90, take your pick.

The LED flashes green.

As soon as I start to raise the throttle, it begins to flash yellow.

When the stick reaches 1/2, it begins flashing green and remains green until full throttle.

When the stick reaches low, LED begins flashing yellow again.

I toggle the AUX 3 switch and the LED goes solid yellow.

This is with a straight throttle curve (no points) and NO mixing.

If I begin the calibration with the throttle stick at the top and do it backwards, it works! But as soon as I do it the right way, it goes back into super servo mode!

It's a real dome scratcher. Paul, you out there?? :?: :?:

bimmer start with 80/80 and gradually increase the ATV's recalibrating each time...

the problem is somewhere you have had a duff calibration and now it needs to re-learn...

yes I mean that, but try +80/-80 again and increase atv 5 points each side each time, same with the Aux channel... u should eventually be able to recalibrate at the correct settings...

Okay, I'll try that.

Thanks!!
