mode 1 vs mode 2

so finally i figured this out for sure. mode 2 is the standard for north america, the throller is on the left, thats been bugging me for a good while now and i finally found it.
i found a site that mentioned 5 modes? anyone know what thats about?

There are modes with all sorts of combinations of control axes on both sticks:
- cyclic on right hand, collective & tail rotor on left (mode 2);
- cyclic on left hand, collective & tail rotor on right;
- cyclic fore/aft & tail rotor on right hand, cyclic roll & collective on left;
...you get the idea. the list goes on.
