Hi

I would like to improve the flip rate of my bird.

would this be an option beside the 440 flybar rod ? (allthough its a thundertiger paddle) http://www.readyheli.com/Blue_Ultra_Light_Paddles_for_50_size_Heli_3mm_Fly_ p/ttrpv0482l.htm (http://www.readyheli.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=TTRPV0482L&CartID=5)

Or would you recommend vblade paddles ?

I'm currently running the align cf paddle on the 400 flybar rod.... what would you guys recommend ?

I have heard from other pilot that the CY stubz paddles are the ones to go for, but they do come at a price........ But I have flown the align carbon paddles and the stubz and there wasn't a lot in it......

Also Vblades sharpen up the cyclic responce and some really fast servos like Jr 8717 ( 8915 in the UK )

Hope this helps

well... i already have the 8717's :-)

would the "upgrade" to the 440 flybar rod greatly increase the flip rate as i already have the cf align paddles ?

no one using the thundertiger paddles ?

Yes possibly but it will never flip as fast as a 450 if thats what your trying to get

ok... thanks.... i'm trying to get as close as possible :-)

You know... it's the same story as with cars.... you'll always want them faster :-)

anyone flying the thundertiger paddles ?

i flew mine with the tt green paddles when I first set it up, I wasn't fond of the sticker idea for the stock paddles so while the v-paddles were on order used my old TT greenies, it flew but it also flew so much better with the v-paddles, stubs are the ultimate for crazy fast cyclic but expensive and a little pitch in really fast flight.

so you wouldn't recommend those ultralight tt paddles.... right?

how do the cf align paddles compare to the stubs ? is it worth the upgrade to stubs ? or am i better of keeping the cf align paddles and just put the 440 flybar rod on ?

I am using the stubz paddles. i dont fly hard 3D, and i think they are plenty fast enough. they are very pitchy in forward and backward flight. i also noticed thel like to pitch up sharply in autos for some reason. i ended up putting the weights that come with them on, now theyre very nice.

I think I am going to fly super stubz which are unstable, but the fastest you can get.

if u want faster throw on the 440 flybar and the super stubz. it will however not be as smooth in fff.

Buy a Knight 3D and you will have a much faster flip rate !!

well according to this:

http://www.readyheli.com/H60012_Flybar_Rod_400mm_TREX_600_p/h60012.htm

and

http://www.readyheli.com/H60108_Flybar_Rod_440mm_p/h60108.htm

and according to the manual of my t-rex 600...... YES.

i've also read somewhere... that a longer flybar increased the flip rate.... so i'm giving it a try with my cf align paddles first (the stubz are out of stock @ readyheli at the moment)
