View Full Version : HDX500 SAS kit question
I am looking at getting a SAS or a SAH kit in a couple of weeks. Will the new frames be in by then or should I wait? Or wont these kits include any of the changes?

Bad1...Right now the only new frames will be coming with the SE V2 kit...the SAH and the SAS frames for the time being will be the same as they are now...I am not sure if the SAS frames will be cut for the 140T gear later on...as there is not much of a demand for the SAS version...
After the V2 frames (fits 140T main gear) problems are fixed and available they can be used with the SAH as a direct drop in replacement frame...
Is this something I could do on my own? Could I dremel it to fit the larger gear?

A few have filed the frames to fit larger gears and as long as you are careful doing it there should be no problem. I would wait for the new frames as they will have other mods done to them as well.
I think it will be worth the wait. At the price of the SAH with a few mods it is a great little heli.
