Need some help guys...I've got a Blade CX that won't lift more than 6 or 8 inches off the ground!
At full throttle the heli will take off, reach a height of about 18 inches then go back down to about 6 to 8 inches off the ground and hover there, still at full throttle.
So to fix it I've tried replacing many parts. The batteries are fine, I can use them in a HoneyBee FP and flight times and power are fine. I changed out the motors and there was virtually no difference. I've swapped blades. The inner and outer shaft seem straight. Swashplate is fairly new and aluminum which seems be fine to me.
I did notice a slight blade tracking problem on the lower set of blades, but I have no idea how to fix it.
Anyway, any ideas guys?

I had the same problem and it turned out to be my battery. Are you sure that the batteries are in good condition?

I have four batteries. Two Eflight batteries and two Common Sense batteries. They all run my HoneyBee FP just fine but none of them get my blade off the ground.

Are you certain the blades are correct. Lower on lower and Upper on upper. Did you buy this new! Or did you get it used....Just a thought

If it is not the battery make sure you leave a little play in the two shafts. If these are to tight it can slow the blades down. My vote is on the battery. today I flew a dn power battery 900 mah and it flew fine. Next battery eflite only hovered about 1 foot for several minutes. after the flight the battery was very hot. I guess its a bad battery.

I hear you about the batteries, I purchased a brand new eflight battery hoping it would work. Nothing different. Also I have two batteries that I use for my HBFP that work just fine in everything except this blade cx! It can't be the batteries.

bad/worn bearing in or around the main shaft might cause alot of drag, but my money would also be on the battery, I have some e-flite batteries too that run my delta wing flyer fine, but couldn't get the heli off the ground.

Had exactly the same problem.
Called factory tech support :
"MOST likely the bottom spur gear is loose on the
top prop shaft."
Get a black sharpie pen and mark across the
main shaft and the collar on the bottom.
Those marks not lining up after a take off attempt
can prove to you its the gear slipping on the shaft.
Hope that helps
