Anyone have a good technique for loosening links ever so slightly? I've tried carving off the flashing, squeezing them gently with pliers, adding lube, all unsatisfactory so far.I've even replaced them with fresh ones, to no avail. Maybe I should be suspicious of the balls.

I gave mine a couple of shot with silicone spray in the beginning, since the links to the fly-bar was binding. I also think that new balls would have been the solution, but after a crash, they worked fine .....

No I have the opposite problem, they might pop of, as they are way to loose.
Not really a problem, as I have a spare bag with links and balls.

Hey Surf!

I have'nt checked the actual size of the 200 ball links, but what you usually do is use a ball link sizing tool to basically ream out the inside. They are made adjustable and cut to a hemispherical curve, preserving the "latching" intent.

There's a trick or two to reduce the size, but they don't work near as well. My trick to tighten is just buy more... ;-)

Check out Lord Finless's vid on ball link sizing, off of videos...

Oh! And lovely party last weekend, thanks for having us! Sorry 'bout the damages to your neighbors house and the warrant for your arrest.. ;-)

Surf,

Gr4yb3ard's right, its a a Ball Link resize tool that you need if its too tight. They are the same size as Blade CP and Honey Bee CP2 balls 3.5mm. MicroHeli do one:

Anyone found a stock set of Ball Link Pliers that work well with these small links yet?

You can give them a slight squeeze with needle nose pliers while there on the ball too. That works. Just do it very lightly until you get it where you want them.
