For those of you have been patiently waiting, the Hurricane 425, Hurricane 550 SFD, and Hurricane 200 TT (Torque Tube) combos are in stock.

We also have the 425mm conversion kit for the H550's and replacement H200 TT parts.

Thanks for looking.

Hi!
Just saw that you have Scorpion HK-3026 in-stock now. I read sometime ago that there were tests about how they perform in an Hurricane. Do you any infos about that? I would be interested in one of the 1210 or 1000kV Motors instead of my 1100kV Gaui motor.

Klaus:

you can see the effects of the headspeed using our online calculator for Hurricane 550 geartrain and modifying the Kv.

I can tell you that the Scorpion motor will be more powerful then the GAUI motor lineup currently.

I do not have any a vs. b data to support this however, only experience from the other BL motors they make.

what is the main advantage of the 550 SFD kit? is that a plastic or CF frame? I see that the kit has the 1100kv GAUI motor but is still using the 50a ESC... is the hollow main shaft that much of a performance upgrade or is it just going to be a weaker part in a crash?

I had to re-read a couple of times. I thought for a minute you had a torque tube TR drive system for the 550. Would love to have one of those if it became availible.:)

I am looking at the Scorpion Motors for my 550 too. I figured the 1000kV would work out about the best to get the head speed in the 2000-2200 range. The 1210 would put the head speed up around 2200-2400.

The headspeed calculator is great, but if you make a change from a 19T OWB to a 20T OWB it will calculate about 100-300 rpm low. I have a 68T front main gear and I can use 218T for the other calculators or 207T with the 20T OWB.

Just waiting for my wish list to get over $100 so I can get free shipping.;)

Are you going to get the metal tail slider and grip assy for the 500?

The CNC tail slider is really worth it's price! Way better than the plastic one...

will the belt driven gaui 200 still be available? seeing as how readyheli was cruel enough not to just give me one for my bday (kidding, but they did send me some sweet gear!) i guess i'll have to buy a 200. damn.

Most likely. I'd like to eventually turn up the head speed into the 2200-2300 range, but I don't think the stock tail will handle it. I'll wait until I get CF blades and the CNC blade grips too.
