I bought some new lipo packs thinking they would be identical to the ones I already own, but they turned out to have a little more mAH.
I plan to run (2) 6S lipo packs in parellel in a Logo 500 3D heli.
Do you think there would be any negative effect by running an Align 2500mAh pack in parallel with a 2600mAh (both are 6s 25C packs).
Would one pack drain more quickly than the other, causing a potential problem?

i think that you're only supposed to serial and parallel join packs of identical voltage and cap. and likely same brand too. idk if it's a good idea to, say, run one 3s1p 2200 KP pack in series with one 3s1p 2200 TP pack. same V and cap rating, but different packs of the same specs discharge differently.
but your talking parallel not serial, so you might be able to. someone who knows more about this do tell.

The Align 6s 2500mah pack is actually 2600mah. I believe Align said the original packs were mislabeled. Hence the new 6s 2600mah pack.

Are they both Align packs?
Supposedly the change from 2500 to 2600 in the 6S 25C Align packs was a change in the sticker on the front of the pack only, they're the same cells inside. They were just originally under-rated at 2500.
If they are actually different capacity then you can run them in parallel, you just need to carefully monitor the voltage of the smaller pack after flight, as it will be easy to over-discharge this pack.

Are you running them in parallel to get more mAh? 6S 5000mAh
I've been told that's possible but far from ideal. But I have no idea why...
If you were running them in serial you'd be fine. The discrepency was an Align misprint.

Mine are all Align packs.
If it is true that the 2500 are simply mislabeled, then they should run in parallel together fine.
I do intend to run them in parallel for a Mikado Logo 500 3D heli. I'm told 2500mAh is simply not enough for that heli. I have already a nice collection of packs for my Trex 500 - so I thought I'd use them in parallel for the Logo.
From the responses, it sounds like running together (even if they are different mAh) would be Ok as long as I was sure not to run them too low - keeping an eye on the smaller one.

Parallel is fine. Serial is not a good idea.
So you put 1000 mAH 10 C pack in parallel with a 5000 mAH 30C pack. If you draw 20 amps, what happens? The both packs will try to supply 10 amps, but the 1000 pack will be running flat out and the voltage will drop, the 5000 pack will be loafing and so the voltage will be higher, so the 1000 pack will supply less than 10 amps, and the 5000 pack will supply more, such that both drop to the same voltage.
Same thing with capacity, as the 1000 packs runs down, the voltage will drop more, and the 5000 pack will pick up the load. But the combination will still deliver the full 6000 mAH.
In series both pack have to deliver the full amperage, so you are limited to the C rating and capacity of the smaller pack. So using a the two packs above, you have a VERY heavy 6S 1000 mAH 10C pack equivalent.
