Just got my Lama v4 2,4GHz and tested it once.
It worked as my earlier lama and I turn it off.
When turning it on the second time 4 in 1 controller just blinks red green all the time.
2,4GHz LED is not turn on at all.

Any ideas ?

I assume you have turned on the TX first. Sounds like it is trying to bind but can't.

Well if someone has the procedure tested and can give me step by step instructions I would be happy.
Manual is written in bad English and I canīt understand what to do...
(Not that Iīm bettter at English, i just have a hard time finding out whatīs wrong...)
Should also give some details
Turning on the transmitter first, it flashes the 2,4 GHz LED and then turn it solid RED.
Connecting the battery into the 4 in 1 controller, it flashes same LED as 35MHz version does, it then goes into slow toggling red/green.
On the 4 in 1 controller there is also another LED on the other side for 2,4GHz indication, that LED does not turn on at all.

First start went perfect, I just tested half stickm, speeding up the motors to see if blades were tracking. Of course I did not pay any attention on LEDīs and such at that time....
So still no air time on this little bird....

If the LED on the side of the with the servo connections isn't lighting up, the reciever isn't binding with the TX.

There is a procedure in the manual for unbinding the TX/Rx and another procedure for rebinding it. I followed it step by step with mine and it worked fine.

Before doing that though, be sure that the throttle stick and the trim slider for it are all the way down when you turn on the Tx.

Hmm, started to wonder where You found that "Bind keystone" and realized that there where another manual included in the package.
So..
In the smaller manual it actually is a picture of "Bind Keystone" (whatever that is) so now Iīm charging battery and hoping to get this to work before bedtime.

Did You have that same green/red LED toggling on the gain/proportional potentiometer side, mnwizard ?

Glad you found it.

No, once the LED on the Tx is on steady, I plug in the battery on the Lama. The LED on the gain/proportional side will start blinking and in 10-15 seconds it goes to steady on. At this point the LED on the other side is also steady on.

Well....no, no luck.
It is the same all the time Iīm afraid.

The LED ends up in toggling green/red on the gain/proportional side.
2,4 GHz indicator only glows.

Mesured battery while connected but it didnīt drop in voltage either, diconnected motors and servos and tested again but still no drop in voltage.

I think the 4in1 controller has given up on me :(

Thanks for Your efforts mnwizard !

Sorry I couldn't come up with something to fix it, but it sounds like you may be right, bad 4 in 1.

If you end up buying a new one, here's a link to an on-line store that I have used several times. Never any problems, shipping is quick, and usually they have the lowest price available on 4 in 1s.

First I will give the supplier a chance to respond to me....

My CX2 2.4DSM will not light up properly if the throttle is open even a little bit. Make sure the throttle is all the way down before powering up the RX. Also, you might try removing all throttle trim, i.e. setting the throttle trim all the way "off", then apply power. My DSM RX seems to be a bit grumpy about throttle settings when it wakes up.

And when it is grumpy, does it toggle the LED green / red all the time ?

If the throttle is not set to 0 the CX2 will keep blinking the red light. It apparently will not tolerate ANY throttle input before the RX initializes. When I set up my DX6i and bound it to the CX2 I had to move the throttle trim down nearly to 0 to get the RX in the CX2 to initialize and stop blinking the light. My Lama V4 is not DSM so I am trying to relate to your problem via what I know about my DSM CX2. I hope my reply didn't confuse you.

No no problem, just that I would love to find a solution to this without send the unit back to supplier....
But it looks like I have to do that anyway, sad my other Lama works perfect.

Realized that first charge of new battery didnīt completly fill the battery, could this be the problem from start ???

That is first start (20-30 secs) everything went fine, second start battery to low and that cause some malfunction in receiver......just guessing here......

Thanks to all friendly helifreaks trying to help me out !!

I tried to find the 2.4 DSM Lama manual online but failed. Sorry you are having this problem. All my issues with blinking lights on the CX2 have been throttle related. I went so fas as to re-bind the receiver once because I thought there was a problem with the 3-in-1. The problem was with me, not the 3 in 1. I accidently left the throttle open a small amount and the lights would not stop blinking. Good luck.

Well friends Iīm flying
Got the 4in1controller back today and put it in the heli and it flies, well sort of, give me a few days......:)

In the shipment there were no comment on the fault but I could see that it is the same unit as I sent for repair.

Only difference is that now it binds with TX !!!

Thanks for Your support.
