Well time finally caught up with me and my beloved 600N, which hadn't had a major crash until 2 weekends ago. I was flying and someone was able to get this picture. I was flying around and lost control of the tail. I still don't know exactly what was the cause of the problem but it may have been a low receiver pack voltage causing a brown-out with my Spektrum receiver.

I hope you like the picture:

I don't think it's supposed to do that. Is it a new move?

OUch Joe - glad you didn't show a postmortem photo - too sad on that tarmac - I crash into boggy grass most of the time - saves $$$

John,

It didn't look bad on the ground. Blades were shot and the canopy was crumpled like an accordian. I took the darn thing apart and the bulk of the hit went to the electronics tray in the front. It smashed my AR7000, lipo was gone, GV-1 and 611 were intact, CarbSmart servo was disintegrated (HS65MG) and fan shroud was cracked. I bent the seesaw on my Kasama head and then there's the usual suspects. The tail boom was broken (CF) and the TT rod was bent too. Otherwise, it's back up and running. Still have to work out the kinks once again but I'm glad it's back in the air!

I believe it is new, we can call it the "main blade trimming rainbow" ? All kidding aside great photo, but sorry about the crash. I've put my 450 in like that but have yet to do that with the 600 (knock wood). Reminds me of a photo I took of a friend of mine doing my other hobby, competitive pistol shooting. It was a sunny day, was able to use tremdously fast shutter speeds and caught a buddy of mine who was shooting a course with one of his .45 rounds frozen, plain as day, 4 feet from the muzzle of his gun. One in a million shot (unless you have the high speed equipment to do it) just hit the shutter a the right time.

I took mine in sideways and it rolled like log in the soggy grass. It hardly hurt anything. Thats is a great picture. At least you got that!

Yeah I'm still working on perfecting that move! You're right, it is a cool picture.

I had a video of my buddy's MA tail boom disintegrating in flight. He showed it to MA and they worked out a deal for him to get replacement parts. It was neat seeing him Piro and then all of a sudden boom broke, torque tube flew out in one direction and then the piro-ing out of control commenced. BTW, it is the guy waiting to fly in my picture. How funny!

wow!!!!!!!!!! I have a friend that lost his tail casing in flight and we got a picture. When I get it, I will post it.

He managed to get her down which is amazing since the tail rotor was GONE. He hit TH and autoed down a little hard. easy fix.
