I just finished installing the Align carbon tail boom on my 600N Pro, and I am now reconsidering it. When I hold the boom mounting block and move the tail, it flexes quite a bit. i can probably move it half an inch in any direction. has anyone else noticed any problems with it in-flight? Also, is there any problems using it with the torque tube?

do you mean twisting or side to side?

i mean side to side. i dont think CF twists very much, but the boom does bow more than the aluminum.

I didn't know they made carbon fiber boom for the 600. I use carbon fiber boom on my 450, it give better crash survibavility. But I dont't think it matters much for the 600 crash survibavility.
One thing I did on my 600, after my first major crash, was to substitude the boom support for a raptor 50 boom support. They extend a little longer and are thicker than the original, giving it more stiffness. Good thing for flight but bad on a crash (could brake the frame on the rod holder connection).
Would like to know how it flies. Good luck. Double O
i went w/ the cf boom and it works just fine. harly any flew i thought. i did however have flew when i did no push the boom in far enough

it was definately more of a PITA than the aluminum boom to get in right.
