If any of you are running the carb smart where did you mount the servo using a 65HB?

lcman69,
I just viewed the carb smart installation and set up video by Mr. Finless.
He is useing a niffty "carbon fiber" servo mounting plate on a 600N.
Take a look. He mentions the source for the plate.
It just might work on the raptor 50.
Hope this helps

I just rushed mine. I used some hot glue and a zip tie. I did it in a hurry before flying and I was going to redo it, but after more than 2 gallons it is still working perfectly so I never changed it.

Funky,
How do you like the carb smart? R/C heli did a review of it but it sounded like the engine had to be set real lean befor the carb smart started doing its thing. Makes me leary because I've blown a few engines by going to lean. Have you noticed longer flight times with it?

The carbsmart really helped on my Raptor. Flight times went up a minute+ and the power is better than ever. If your motor starts to run too lean, it should heat up and the carbsmart will adjust. Mine does a good job of keeping temps in line.

vandelescrow,
Mr. "Finless" address the issue of possibly running lean in his set-up and installation video. I kind of like the idea that the CS adjusts the throttle according to head temperature.
However I have heard of some issues with the longevity of the heat sensor.

I'm working on mine now. I just need to install the temp sensor.
Here's my custom CNC'd servo mount.

I switched to the Titan tail servo positioning which left the original tail servo slot free. I then used this spare slot and a spare servo that I had laying around. All very neat and tidy.
