View Full Version : Chraging from the discharge leads?
Hello. I just bought a used hyperion eos 7i. I have been unable to find much info on this, so I'm asking here. It does not have the four wire balance charge lead on it, only a bannana plug for pos and neg. Is it a good idea to charge this way, or should I stay with the cheap charger that came with my blade? Any related info on this subject would be appreciated.
I guess I should note that I am charging lipo 3s 2100mAH batteries for a blade 400/ trex 450se. Also, the charger has a charge rate function. What is the best setting?

I don't know about you specific charger, but most you connect an external balancer to the power output of the charger, then to the power and balancer plugs on your pack.

Thanks! I may have to invest in one. In the meantime, can I charge from the leads on the charger? The manual says to set up that way...???? Maybe I read it wrong...

I think you can, but like I said not familiar with that specific charger. You really need to balance your packs too. The charge rate would be 2.1 A, for a 2100mAh pack. at 1c.

Until you get the balancer you can use the blades balancing charger every other charge to keep your packs balanced, this is what I did untill I got my BC-6.
