Hello guys... I have a raptor 30 v2 with OS 32 SXH..... I am good at sport flying with it. Also, I have a t-rex 450 and I can do some 3d.... I know the raptor 30 v2 WITH OS 32SXH is not 3d capable. I don't want to get an OS37 because I am saving money to get a raptor 50. But for now..... does anyone know if I can do loops, rolls or going inverted with the OS 32 SXH?????? not more than that, just that.
Thanks...

I loop and roll my V1 rappy with a .32 all the time. Sure its a dog, but a blast to fly none the less. You have to be carefull with the collective though. Once she bogs bad and starts dropping, you better have some altitude to waste so it can spool up again. And yes, you can invert it as well, just leave more room for a bail out because it's not too quick.

Niceeeeeeeeeeeeee... I'll give it a try some day, did you have to move the position of the linkages???? I saw in the manual that you have to move linkages to different positions in order to do "3d", I would guess that moving the linkages could help to have quick response in cyclic, not sure though, I have them in "normal flight" configuration, what do you think guys????.... do you do the loops and rolls with S3151 in cyclic????? can I know your set up? servos, 4.8v or 6v? gyro, turns in your main needle engine, pitch curve, throttle curve, etc, etc.... thanksssssss

I have 3151's on cyclic. and a HS-645MG on collective. Put your linkage to the rear position on the collective lever. I don't have access to my TX right now so can't give you my curves. Just do a search for "throttle and pitch curves" and you'll get lots of results. I think the last time I tached my Rappy, I was spinning around 1950. Not sure how much more I could get out of it without leaning the engine too much. I don't do any (can't actually) hard 3D so I am not worried about pimping this raptor out too much. Have the 600N for that! You can have a lot of fun with your Raptor with the 32, but if you want to ring it out a little, I believe you will really need the 37 engine in it. I'm sure a search on You Tube will net you many Raptor vids so you can see what they can do in capable hands.
Got my curves. Norm-15,30,45,60,100
Idle 1-100,65,50,65,100
Idle 2-100,75,55,75,100

It wasn't a raptor but I ran a .32 in my hawk and learned inverted orientations as well as backwards, backwards inverted, and inverted forward with it. It was a dog if you wern't smooth and you practically HAVE to go with carbon blades just to get the head speed up high enough so you're in the powerband of the motor. Plus....don't forget to do aileron and elevator mixing to throttle. those cyclic inputs can pull on the power as well.
I ran the light paddles and an old Muscle II pipe.
Then when I transfered all the electronics and gear over to a raptor and picked up a .37 motor it's awesome. It has got some halfway decent power. Even keeps up with some of the .50's that arn't tuned that well. Nowhere near a juiced up .50 but still a heck of alot of fun.

I'm going to be flying my Raptor for a while just for the collective management training it will give me. Besides, I got cocky doing some blazing piros on my 600N and something reached up and grabbed it when I stopped, then threw it into the ground. So the old rappy will be putting around the sky untill repairs are done. Plus, I like the sound of it during high speed passes:)
I fly my Raptor 30 V2 with an O.S. 37 and its a blast, iv got plenty of power for inverted and pretty much anything i'm capable. i'm sure that the .32 should be fine. the only reason i got the 37 was because i knew i would be wanting more power eventually and i'm actually really glad i got it.

I only have the .32 because that's what was in it when I picked it up used locally. This was my cheap "see if I like nitro's heli" and has cost me considerably now with the addition of the 600. I will put a .37 in it if I can find a cheap one somewhere or don't find myself needing 450 or 600 parts for a while.

you can mess around with some 3d. if you add a lot of cyclic and collective at the same time(like tic tocs) you will bog the head, you gotta be careful.
my os .32 setup...

I have a set of MS Composit's that came with mine. I would get some as the woodies will flex a lot more.

i was running mavrikk g4 carbon blades, and i have futaba 9452's on cyclic and collective. oh and im running the "white paddles" i guess they are light weight.
