I have a Logictech 6100 combo with servo. the radio brand dose not matter what gyro you use. gyro has little time on it, no crashs. 205.00 shipped.

I wouldn't settle for less than the 401. For the money, nothing beats it!

I just got one for $100. Only 10 flights. I've been offered them as low as $60 used. We all know what it's like being on a budget, but the gyro is simply the worst thing to scrimp on. A good gyro will make or break a heli especially for someone who is relatively new. Even if you went with a used GY240, you would at least get some decent performance out of it, but if you can, try for the 401. RC Universe, RunRyder, RC Groups(just about any forum) has a for-sale section. Try hitting those up and don't lose hope. Someone out there is bound to have a 401 collecting dust! Good luck on your search, and if you find a gyro that you think might fit the bill, run it by us or in the heli threads to see how well it does before just getting it. Just trying to help you avoid the pitfall of getting a G90 or such other gyro.

Sweet! See, told you there would be some good people on here! Id've done the same if I had the extra stuff sitting around. Just remember to pass it on if you run into someone in the same situation further down the road!

I thought you said he donated one to you? Or did that mean "90 days-same as cash" type deal? Either way it goes, you're still out a bit even if the gyro is cheap because other stuff is gonna break. It's just the nature of the beast. I'm working on my buddy's Hawk right now and it's a pretty stout heli, but it's still easily breakable with a slight mishap. I hope you know all that you're getting into with helicopters (or any RC item for that matter!). I'm not tryig to discourage you, but $60-$130 is a drop in the bucket once you've been doing it long enough, so if you're having a tough time scraping it together, you may want to stick with mini golf as a hobby! We'll try to help out as much as possible, but you gotta meet us half way dude

i hear ya there Skunk, the thing here is this... i am still waiting on the van to be sold, with what i sell the van for i am paying bills and buying a gyro. i have on reserve right now a jr500t at a great price, but if the guy cant hold it longer then i will be in the market again... i will post updates wether or not i get it......other then that i am tryin to get this goin with the mechanical gyro i got from someone else.... its the jr 100 i believe....i know all about the rc hobby, i have flown aircrafts, had trucks, got boats, now a heli.... not new to this game by any means....sold all 10 aircrafts the biggest being 1/4 scale bipe christen eagle 2. traded most up for stuff i wanted then traded the rest up for what i have today....
