MY rappy 30 started wagging in hh mode only regardless of the sensitivity setting on the remote. It all started when I instaled thishttp://helifreak.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=44898&d=1207942828
I noticed it was On the wrong side so I fixed it, still shakes. I changed the spindle, tail shaft and belt. The belt had a slight tear on the back-side. Would this be enough to cause vibrations?
Could it be that the servo is picking up to much vibration from the body?
Before I had it on the the tail and had no issues. That setup broke off so I used this carbon piece instead.
Im using the 770 jr gyro and the 8900g servo.

And what caused that?

It had some lite damage around the mounts and one day it just fell off. A hard landing I believe.

ok...so it wasn't directly a crash induced vibration. Normally when something acts up after you change something, that something is a contributor.
What do you mean by a tear? Are you sure your not missing teeth?
The servo woundn't be affected by vibrations, but the gyro would. Check the foam holding the gyro. Make sure the gyro is secure.
You tried reducing gain right?
Linkage. It looks like you may be bending the linkage with the new servo position. If so, this could cause a bind in the tail rod guides. Is there any way you can get a more natural pushrod routing? Say straight to the slider linkage at 90 deg off the servo?
Otherwise, you'll have to start pulling things off to see what makes the vibes go away.

I just ordered a more calabrated tail link setup. Yeah I did turn the gain down. I just lined up the linkage correctly Ill try tomorrow. Its 1.20am here now.
Thanks

I took it apart again and I noticed I never took a screw out from the left side of the tail axle. This screw goes into the tail axle oppisite the tail blades through the tail case. Now I do have a screw that would work but I have alot of side to side play with the axle. This can surely be the issue right? Its seems like Im missing a part. I looked in the manuel I see nothing for it. what do you think?

I installed the set screw on the left side of the axle, but I still get abount an 1/8 inch play left to right on the tail. My theory is that this is causing the pitch to change on the tail blades and the gyro tries to compensate and the wag starts. This would explain why Im only getting it it hh mode. But I still dont know why im getting this play.
Also why does the fork links on the tail slider lock on me when I hit full right. They seem to kink shut and lock the tail blade grip in a fixed position.

That screw shouldn't lead to play. I believe it only bears against the spring pin that secures the pulley to the tailshaft.
Are you saying that your tailshaft can move 1/8"?

Yes, Im going to try today to see if I installed the tail pully in the right direction. Also I just thought that It could be the os 37. Im getting a alot of vibration in the tail, vibration that can num your hand. Like how raptortechnique explains.

If your tailshaft moves in any substantial way (other than rotating) you must be missing something in the tailcase assembly.

I fixed the play in the tail shaft. It turned out the pully was assembled wrong, but the wag on the tail is still there. I get a very fast vibration on the heli. I believe its coming from the engine. Any ideas?

Not right off hand. Got a way to shoot a vid of it?
