Since I'm starting to fly the 550 around a lot more, I decided to try a flip with it tonight. Good thing I was pretty high because it took a while. (Could have timed that with a calendar.) I'm at 6.5* on the cyclic. What settings do I need to get any kind of decent roll and flip rate. I can bump it up to 8* pretty easily. I have lighter paddles also. Would shorter, lighter blades help? Flying 550 woodies now. Thinking of trying 500 or 515 carbons. Current head speed is about 2000 and I know higher head speed would help. I have the plastic blade grips and the stock tail, so I'm leery of turning it up higher than that until I get all the CNC parts.
