My Align Gov misses for a split second, then goes back to how it should be,I:E it is like the gov has turned of and then back on, I know it is the gov because I ran 2 tanks with it off and not missed a beat.
Any help here would be great

that servo should work fine... i had some issues with the futaba 9254 (very short misses).... is your sensor reading the magnets well ?

I turned on the gov and moved the fan around untill the magnets passed over the sensor and all was how it should be, not sure if the sensor has moved and it is just reading the the magnets but will check but preety sure that the sensor has not moved.

does the miss occur during hover... or on hard tic toc like moves ?
make sure you've set the endpoint as stated in the manual und double check the sensor and that it reads the magnet (only one of course) correctly.... that is.. the light should go off as soon as the magnet is in reach of the sensor and should go on again when the magnet just leaves the sensor!
hope this helps

Hi Marcel
It Happens in all flight conditions I:E Hovering, tictoks etc but will go and check the gap on the magnets to sensor but got a sneaky feeling it has moved and the gap is a bit wide.

Just checked the gap and it is no more than 1mm from sensor to magnet, also recallibrated the gov to my throttle but still getting the problem with it turning off perhaps 3 or 4 times a tank of fuel for a second or so, rechecked all the lights on the gov and the green light turns off when 1 of the magnets pass the sensor which is correct but still at a loss. Definately the gov because if I turn the gov off I dont have any issues with the engine going to idle:arggg::arggg::arggg::arggg:

I have a F7 35mhz, I did have some issues with an 8 channel reciever but none since upgrading to the R149DP 9 Channel Receiver .

sorry... but i don't have anything else, which makes sense in your case, for you to try/check other than gliches of some kind.

This may help Guys,
I had the same problem, but with a CSM RL10, I'm running with the plastic Align fan HN6072, I will be changing it for the metal one HN6060T, as in Normal there is no problems but as soon as I get up into Idel1 the RevLock hunts a bit. This maybe due to the fan warping as the Engine reaches higher RPM.
I will let you Know how I get on.

Are you sure your not too rich on the mixture? That can cause a problem like that as the gov is trying to get the head speed up to what you have set and is working the throttle and then when you load up the rpm drops and when you unload the gov goes at it again.
As a test you can try lowering the head speed setting in the gov like to say 1700 and see if it still pulses. If not then that's probably what it is.

Hi All,
I hate to say this, but I think you have something wrong with your governor. I haven’t heard about anyone else with this problem. Mine functions flawlessly. Maybe it’s a loose connection, or a component that malfunctions intermittently. I think you’re going to have to try a new control unit to see if that takes care of it.
The bright side is that it’s the cheapest governor out there. Please let us know how it works out.

I am about 1 and 1/4 turns out on the needle but am using the carbsmart but will certainly try the heli with a lower headspeed and will also disconnect the carbsmart to eliminate that this has anything to do with the gov problem.

Hi BN,
If you put a new one in and it works, you've definitely got a warranty situation.:YeaBaby:
