hi all,
is there any advantage of using ATV on channel 5 to adjust gyro gain over using the gyro menu? i see a lot of posts recommending the ATV for gyro gain. can somebody explain plz.

Depends on which gyro your using. With the GY 502, 601, 611 I would use the gyro menu. With the GY 401 I would just use the Ch. 5 ATV to adjust the gain.

If you want to use the gyro menu you can use it with the 401. What the gyro menu allows is a couple of different sensitivity rates in the same flight mode. If you use ATV's you will only have one rate in that flight mode.
