I have a Trex 600E with a Gy401.
When I hover the tail slowly moves to the left (clockwise). When I adjust using the Futaba T9 reciever I can compensate most of it. But are there better ways of doing this eg moving the servo backwards or to the front. Or adjusting it in one of the menus of the T9?
Regards
Rob
You must insure you have NO TRIM on the rudder channel with a 401. You want the gyro as close as possible to the main shaft as possible and as far away from the esc and motor.

I have the 401 as far away as possible. I think that I should move the servo closer tom teh tail or use a setting in the T9, most probably a trim function (rudder?)
You cant use trim on the rudder with the 401. WHen the 401 starts up it reads the rudder position as the new zero position.

But adding trim AFTER the gyro has initialized will compensate for this. That being said, I had the same problem and found it went away after setting up in rate mode rather than using the method you see most ppl recommend on here which is to center the pitch slider, and give full throw either way.
So if you have set it up that way, try setting it up mechanically in rate mode, and I bet it'll go away.
