Hey all!

I'm ditching the bar on my T-Rex 450.
Please post some pictures, tutorials, suggestions etc. on how to best modify or replace the head of the 450.

I'd like the cleanest setup possible, given the lowest cost - of course :)

My current thoughts:

1) Keep current 2-to-1 upper mixing arms
2) Remove washout base + swash links + 2 inner swash balls
3) Fabricate phase lock using main shaft collar and some plastic or aluminum sheet

Preferably I'd also like to get rid of the 2-1 mixer arms and go straight from the swash to the blade grips. But I'm not sure I can fab something up for that myself. Unless you guys come through on some sort of tutorial.

Thanks!

What did you do to hold the washout base in place? Just drill it for a set-screw?

The n2wizard's is considered the 0 cost because it uses everything from the TRex parts. (I done that before also).

The swash plate follower is actually coming from the washout + the 2 guide pin on the rotor hub. All u need is to make sure the wash out do not fall down below the 2 guide pins. I use 2 long screws and screw onto the mixer arm on the washout instead. On normal state, the long screws will rest onto the other side of the mixer arm. When spinning, the centrifugal force will make them straight.

Here is my latest configuration in my AH-1W Super Cobra configuration:

Got my SK360... I need some more suggestions for this.. The easier, the better...

I'm willing to re-use my existing head parts, but need a way to hold the washout base in place...
