Hi,I have a Shuttle with a GWS PG-01 Pro Piezo Gyro.
Just to confirm, the Gain adjusts the reaction of the gyro to tail movement and the neutral adjust the turning action of the heli.Or am i barking up the wrong tree.
Also can someone give me an idea how to set it up properly.
It seemed to be o.k before i moved the servo to go onto the tail boom.
I reversed the gyro and have presumed that is all i do.
It was already set up when i bought it.But i found the tail would move slightly from side to side really quickly, not a regular movement but more erratic like it had a glitch.
Reading the various forums i presumed it had to much gain so i adjusted it.
It all went down hill from then on.
The tail started spinning round then it was a bit erratic. So i tried adjusting the neutral.
I was adjusting it while it was running and i noticed when i adjusted the gain the tail mounted servo would move. Also when i adjusted the neutral the servo moved is this normal.
Or should i adjust it when the engine is off.
I should have left it but it was bugging me.
Thanks.

Update.
When i moved the tail servo onto the boom i also re seated my Gyro.It was on some sponge which was the same material used to wrap the battery. This was about 4mm thick.
The gyro looked a bit unsafe so i removed the sponge and used some 3m double sided tape.I also secured it with an electrical tie.
Now thinking about it and reading some info on the web i may be causing the gyro to vibrate to much causing it not to work properly.
So i have now gone back to some of the sponge that was on before and leaving the electrical tie off.
Your thoughts please.

Adjusting the gain on that gyro will cause the servo to shift.
You are correct in adjusting the neutral pot on the gyro. To correct the shift that happens when the gain is adjusted.

The GWS gyros as I remember came with some fairly soft mounting tape. Any type foam tape should be sufficent to mount the gyro to the heli.

Hi,Ive just got back from testing the heli.
All went well with no twitching.I re mounted the Gyro with some sponge and left the electrical tie off.
I first manually set the servo with the trim in the middle on the transmitter, the servo horn 90% to the boom. Then the settings on the Gyro in the middle both on the neutral and the gain.
Started her up and went to lift, she immediately nosed left.So i adjusted the rod on the tail servo and started again. She just nosed right slightly so i trimmed left.
Lifted off again, there was no drift or hunting, wow that was lucky.

To sum up, i think the mounting on the Gyro was to hard also the electrical tie didn't help.Plus i now know how to adjust the Gyro.
