Wolfie, those xheli replacement heads, are they Trex copies with reversed swash to fit a belt, and so any replacement parts can be fitted from a trex source?

....here we are again, awaiting the delivery of some nice new bling for my Beltrex. This time it is a copterx head and a 'B' style Trex swashplate. In the meantime, I will have to try keep the CNC pEsky stuff in one piece [ not too much success at the latter so far!!!!]

:cheers

Mike

ps wish the wind would drop off a bit!!!!!!!

Mike

Ahhh, I remember the good old days before the Dome when the REAL Vikings played here in the open stadium. 30 F, snowing, field hard as cement. No one beat 'em here under those conditions. They didn't even search ya going in back then so ya could bring in your own "anti-freeze". The "purple people eaters", Bud Grant, Fran Tarkinton, Allen Page, Carl Kusalke, those were the days.....

I remember the good old days of Bill Walsh, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott, Roger Craig, Tom Rathman, Randy Cross, Bubba Paris, Dwight Clark, Steve Young.etc etc................
Have been to the "Stick" too to watch a game.

Back to copters!!!! What feathering shafts does a copterx head like, and also does the Trex flybar fit?

Mike

Well, apparently I measured my CopterX shafts (CX450-01-23) slightly shorter than the Align V2s (HS1251)... but now I hear they should be identical

Maybe the first one desperate enough to get the Align shafts will report back the results... I have eight CopterX shafts stashed away, so hopefully it's not going to be me :D

The HS1184 V2 flybar should fit the CopterX V2 head.

It finally stopped today... and my new Cellpro 4S and two Flightpower 2500 mAh Evolite V2s arrived just in time.

Charging now... Talk about itchy fingers :)

I have 4 batts now, 2 of which are from Gerd. Can't believe how quickly the time goes. Must get one of those battery indicator leds - he's out of stock at the moment...

I am pissed off. After a good 5 batts today, my pEsky CNC tail rotor gave way, fortunately I found all the bits. I have ordered a CopterX V2 tail!!!!!!! "IFs" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn, Mike... I've already lost track of how many times that purple bling has fallen apart on you

I take it the Esky CNC isn't currently very high on your list of recommended upgrades?

Well, look at the bright side... You'll be grinning ear to ear when you try those CopterX parts :)

I'd just settled on touchdown and she started to spin wildly. I cut the throttle and noticed a tail blade AND holder were missing. Found it virtually buried in my lawn a few yards away, both bearings had shifted, one also on the lawn, and had a serious bend in the tail spindle. I actually thought that the belt had snapped!!!!! It's all back in one piece again, but I am not so sure how good the spindle will be after I have straightened it. I'm sure there will be some vibes. Lucky though to have found everything.

Yes, roll on the CopterX stuff!!!!!!!!!

Thought I would ressurect this thread, as I am waiting both for the weather to buck up, and that not being the case cos I live in England, for some parcels to arrive. This time it is for an audio/visual lipo battery monitor, which looks a nice bit of kit. Am also waiting for the pEsky sim controller, as it's probably the only flying I will be getting for a while.............

Cheers, and hoping the postie delivers..........

I different slant on this one: have picked up my nice parcel of goodies waiting for me here in Houston, and cant wait to get home to try them out!!! The Align 325carbon blades look fantastic, as does the Sonix 3550 motor. Also, the Microheli main gear has a very good quality about it. Will report on its behavior on my Beltrex.....

Am looking fwd to putting the motor on too. Have ordered a Hobbywings 40A ESC, and those carbon blades look nice and stiff. Microheli MG is well made; should be a good and hopefully enduring upgrade, and easy to change.

It is all of the above! Mine is still going strong! (a great buy) I also want to try those carbon blades and a pair of woodies and run some tests!

Hi Mike, sounds like you have a nice box of bling there, can't wait to hear about the MH MG.

Do you have copterx head? You may need 4 shims (1mm each) to go with the Align blade's? Revolution models sells them in UK. I used the washers from e-sky thrust bearing's - their is a pic of the Align 325mm blades installed on e-sky head in my album.

Yes, I got the CopterX head - great it is too. Had it for 4 months and with the Trex B swash and Align carbon shaft, makes a good setup for the main rotors.
