A guy we fly with uses the white 'lightweights' and they fly moderate 3D very well, they are also much more visible. They are lighter and more flexible but it doesnt seem to have any adverse effect on the tail control

... but the K&B 'stiffies" are a tiny bit lighter, bigger swept area and you can get black / white or nice flouro green / yellow / orange. ReadyHeli sell them... http://www.readyheli.com/K_B_Dream_Designs_30_50_HP_Neon_Tail_Blades_Neon_p/4004.htm
They are advertised as Raptor 30/50 but I've been using them on my 550 since the first flights and they are great.

I just got some because I was already there ordering parts and liked the idea of a white tail. Have several flights with them and I love the visibility but I can't really comment on performance as I fly like a granny.
They actually seem to show up better than the florescent green stiffies on my 450 but of course that could be due to the greater area. But they sure do stand out compared to the stock black

ok, i got a chance to try them out after a rebuild. i noticed that i get a little fast tail wag every once and while. this during hovering and it was not there before the rebuild or these new light blades. before the rebuild i was using the black stock blades and the tail held fine. tomorrow i will just change to the black blades and see if that fixes the wag. ill post back with the results.

Your tail IS holding... you have wag.
That's different... just reduce the gain a little.
