Since my web cam is doing a decent job capturing my flights, I figured I would start recording them all and post them on YouTube. Hopefully my flying will continue to improve.

04.18.2008-01: The starter for this new thread is my first flight of the day. Temp is 79 degrees. The wind is gusty today. It is coming from across the fence at right and what makes it fun is, the fence has a plant growing on it. So the wind cuts through at the bottom, breaks a little near the top, then shoots over the top. You can see it in the trees at right occasionally. I am also still a little nervous in the tight area still. Not to mention I feel tight and jerky today. I have another battery ready, but I think I will run the the LHS to get another one first. Two just ain't enough. ;)

I hope you enjoy!

I lost my second flight video. I think my drive was too full and it corrupted it.? :(

Once again, what occurs is not what it seemed at the time. I thought I was doing really well once again and that I did not bob around a lot. Watching the video I see it is a whole different story. I think I see some improvement though. Hard to say when one is standing so close to the canvas.

Well, here it is.

Here is my fourth flight yesterday. It was a little rough at times but there is some good hovering at others. Feedback always welcomed.

Well, here it is, the last flight of the day yesterday. Sad part is, I was just about to stop. I land it once before the big crash and almost called it quits then, but my greedy self wanted a little more flight time. Should have gone with my first instinct. Something bit my elbow and it was itching me something terrible. Like an idiot, I went to scratch it. That was all it took. Heli slide left right into a Webber grill and that was all she wrote.

Just got back from my LHS and they had all the parts so I will be attempting to rebuild it now. Hopefully it will fly again today. The tail boom replacement looks to be the biggest challenge. The rest of it is simple.

Here it is, with sound too. :arggg:

The rebuild was successful! :happyd

I do have a sound I am not familiar with. I think it may have been the tensioner on the belt. I have loosened it and will see the next time out. If not that, it may be the actual tension of the belt? It is kind of a high pitched whine I was not hearing before I do not think.

This flight is in two parts. My Tx batteries were low so I stopped to replace them. Can't do much editing with a webcam, sorry.

These two flights also test out my new canopy mounts, and they rocked.
Watch for a video on them in a minute here.
