AR6100e Updated to V 1.7

well since i had to do so work on my bird and had to go to the big smoke yesterday i thought i would take my Rx into the main importer/distributor, to get the Upgrade from V1.2 to V1.6, it took the guy 10 minutes to do it and when it was done the guy told me it was now updated to version 1.7 :thumbup:

from all my reading on the heli sites i thought it was V1.6 that fixed the V1.2's problem, so i wonder what else they have attended to in V1.7? anyone heard or know ??

How do you know what version you have, and what does it take to have it upgraded?

it's written on the end of your Rx, mine had V1.2 on it which was the version they had trouble with

i live in Australia so contacted the local importer/distributor for the upgrade, i believe in the USA you have to send it back to Horizon, it was a free upgrade

Yah Dont belive the crap about "if it was shipped after X date its updated. I picked mine up in march and it was a fresh shipment from horizon and it has the 1.2 in it still. Pisses me off that ill have to be down to send it in. I might just send in the cx2 1.2 and get it done and then swap them when it gets back....

1.7 huh? I just sent mine back (along with the dicky transmitter) to Model Flight in Adelaide and when I asked them about the version 1.6 upgrade I was told that version 1.2 was the latest!!

I assured him it wasnt, but anyway its on its to them via courier now so I guess we will see next week.

And yes, mine was only delivered in March from the latest shipment from the US. So much for all deliveries after November...

yep thats the place i visited, the older guy at the front counter new jack about it and even thought i would have to pay for it, the young lad that did the job went out the back and had it back to me in 10 minutes, when i said, ahh so its got version 1.6 now? he said to me the one he just loaded said it was V1.7 and not to forget to rebind it as he had bound it to update it

to me it sounded like he just connected it to his computer and downloaded the latest update for it

i'd send them an Email to tim@omp.com.au as this is the guy i spoke to about doing the upgrade, as said a young lad actually did the job not tim but he arranged it all for me

Cool, will do. I had been dealing with Brenton, he had already replaced the TX for me when it was delivered in Mode 2 instead of Mode 1, then he arranged the replacement servo, blades and feathering shaft when I had a servo fail (went crazy and nose dived the heli).

So I had been dealing with him - but I notice the email addresses are totally different - his was @modelflight.com.au .... strange... Oh, that is probably the importing arm of the company, apparently they are seperate.
