Is there a Night and Day difference in flight characteristics between the .50 and .90 size heli, I have never own one before and would like to know?
Thanks

First time you crash one there is$$$. Really though my MA XCell 90's feel way more locked in and solid than my Raptor 50's or Trex 600n. I am however afraid to push it with either of them due to repair cost. I am looking forward to the 700n and hopefully cheaper repair bills.

YES! There is a night and day difference. It's like going from the 450 to the 500. The bigger disk does make a difference. A 90 is much much more stable in the air and autos significantly better.

For me the two things I like best about a 90 are:
1. I can see it with my old eyes and orientation is a lot easier with a larger heli.
2. Auto performance is a lot better and a lot more fun.
Downside:
They burn a lot more fuel or use a lot more expensive packs
They cost more to fix when you plant them, but they survive mild plants better I think.

I would say it's more like going from a 450 to a 600. The 90's sure eat up a lot more sky and a lot quicker than a 50. My 50 feels like a toy in comparison, but great for throwing around like a hooligan :YeaBaby:
There is a whole lot more inertia and power in a 90, and boy can you can feel it, but they do like a drink. I've used more fuel in my 90 since xmas, than I did in my 50 all last year
If you get one, stock up on fuel. I buy 12 gallons at a time as I get a reasonable discount that way.
But they sure are a bundle of fun

Power and presence of a 90 is hard to match.
Yes they cost more, but to me added fuel cost hasn't been a big deal.
