I picked up my new Flybar Carrier at IRCHA and had it on and ready to go in 30 min. For $50, it is hands down the best bang for your buck when it comes to upgrades to put on your machine.

It is SOOO much stiffer and the flybar does not flex in flight. It also looks really cool!

It makes every manuver alot crisper and the machine tracks so much better as well. And, dare I say that the flybar breakage problems are a thing of the past with the new carrier.

Point of interest for those who are not aware of how htis thing works. The flybar is no longer riding directly on the pivot bearings. Instead, the flybar is captured inside the outmost stiffeners that also mount the hiller arm "cage" ends, and those assemblies then plug into the pivot bearing in the ends of the actual flybar carrier/tube. The carrier bearing are now 6 mm ID, the same bearing as used on the pivots for the flyabr carrier itself.

This looks really nice and if it stops the flexing I am up for that as I lost one heli this year due to flybar breaking..

Talked to Chris today.
Sounds like they are just getting out the door and he thought Rick's had them.

Soon as I finish up a couple other things on my Ion I am going to give this a try.
I don't have flybar breaking problems, but from what he told me this is supposed to really improve the tracking of the Extreme head so I am all for that. :D

Here's what you're looking for:
There are two versions of the carrier, one for the Extreme head and one for the Tempest head. The difference is that the flybar control arms for the Tempest are straight whereas the ones on the Extreme head are angled.

#126-105 Stratus Flybar Carrier (fits 0844 Extreme head) - Retail $49.95
#126-106 Tempest Flybar Carrier (fits Tempest 3D head) - Retail $49.95

I'll get a picture posted of whats in the kit.

looks pretty darn good actually.. would save alot of time to put on.. because u don't have to line the two arms up with each other and the flybar

tried the new fly bar carrier today on my Stratus. It definately flys 'crisper' without being too sensitive. I'm not sure if I like it or not, I might just need to get use to it. :dontknow

it might just be me but the blade energy in my auto's seem to have decreased a bit as well.

Blade energy decreased because of a flybar holder ?

OH MY!
Flew my newest Ion today with the new flybar carrier.
All I can say is if you don't have this on your MA ship yet you are missing out. :D

EVERY bit of balloning and pitching I had been dealing with in the past with ALL of my Fury variant ships is GONE. I mean gone not even a trace of it.
This helicopter is the best tracking ship I have ever had even my Freya didn't track this well IMO.
This feels every bit as good as the Tempest 3D head I have flown a bit, but much cheaper. :D
Talk about crisp and responsive. Heck I made a major uh oh and thought I was going to loose it in the trees. The helicopter just didn't quit flying and my "nano second" reactions were met with immediate movement of the helicopter. My shorts didn't fare so well though. :D

I am going to put one of these new carriers on my other Ion soon as I get the motor back and get rid of the flybar weights that are doing about 50% as well as this part for the same money. :D
That and putting an Actro in it, but that is for another post. :D
