-10,0,+10, Idle 1, 2 and hold
-6 ,0 ,+10 normal.
Headspeed 1800 to 2000
Manual throttle setting are a good starting point. However your settings may vary depending on engine, muffle, blades, fuel.
Check out "raptortechnique" and "littlerotors". You'll be glad you did.

im talkin about a mini titan, thanks. im running a align motor and esc setup, i just bought my self a pitch guage and thought about doing exactly what the manual says.

I have very good experience with the standard "beginner" settings recommended by TT. Heli lifts of the ground soft as silk and hovers very very steady, This is with "soft start" enabled on the ESC and stock wooden blades.

Paintball,

I started off with the stock settings.

They were actually really nice. Like Tomra said, lifted off like silk, very docile.

I ended up changing my normal curves to have the last half match my idle 1 curve, but the stock settings had a nice almost "scale" feel to them. I think stock settings are "nice normal, flying around", then idle 1 is "aerobatic with not too much pitch" and idle 2 is "stunt mode".

The switch from normal to idle 1 and 2 are pretty abrupt and made the heli jump or drop pretty drastically. Inflight switches always had to be thought about a bit with this setup, which is why I changed it.

If I set up a scale bird I'd use their recommended pitch and throttle curves. They feel a little "old school" to me.

im tryin to do what the manual says but the pitch Curves & the angle of attack (pitch guage) does not match up with the settings,

also. my 7chp radio has a 5 point pitch settings, the manuel only has 3, what do i do for the 2 missing points?

ex: recomended PIT CV: 40 - 75 - 100

my radio have 1, 2, 3. 4,5 points,what do i put i the #2 & 4

If your radio is like my JR just leave those slots empty. The radio will handle the in between percentages for you.

paintballkidz, what kind of radio do you got? If you got a DX7 the 2 and 4 point would be set to "inh" using the "clear" button.

I have a Futaba 7c radio.

paintballkidz,
I would recommend you take a look at "Finless" Bob's Helifreak Tech Room.
Start off with the 450 SE build videos.
Here Mr. White not only builds the 450 but also has excellent instructions and a tutorial on pitch curves, He also has a build video on the 620.
If I recall correctly Mr. "Finless" uses a 7C for this build.
As to the pitch curves in the radio matching the pitch guage. It doesn't work like that.
Mr. White will cover this extremely well.
However here is a short discription;
The pitch curve menu will have the "servo end points" set to "0" at low stick and "100" at high stick. Depending on the radio this may be "100" at low stick and "100" at high stick for end points. The 5 points for setting your curve will work within the end point settings.
I would recommend setting up your initial pitch curve while in the Idle up 1 flight mode. This will allow you to set-up maximum - and + pitch values useing the pitch guage.
Set your stick to mid position (50%) go into the 5 point pitch curve and set point #3 to 50.
with the stick at 50% and point #3 at 50 you want to have "0" pitch on the blades.
Put the guage on a blade and adjust the necessary links to give you "0" pitch.
That done, bring the stick to high and with the pitch guage on the blade set to +10.
Go to the #5 curve point and adjust the value up or down until the guage reads +10.When aligned with the fly bar. The curve value should be pretty close to 100.
Then bring the stick down to low and set the guage to -10 and at point #1 in the curve
adjust the value up or down until you get the -10 with the guage. This vallue should be pretty close to "0".
This will get your stick +10 at high, "0" at center and -10 at low stick in Idle up 1
By doing this in Idle up 1 you can then switch to "normal flight" mode and set the pitch curve you prefer, Knowing that you have just acheived the full - and + pitch range vlaues in the Idle up 1 curve with the pitch guage
There is a lot more involved than I will try to explain here.
Some radios require that points #2 and 4 be "inhibited" or blank if you choose not to put a value at these points. If you "inhibit" these points the radio does the math for you.
If you wish to assign a value at these points. Then normally you would like the movement to be linnier between them. Example. #5 in the curve reads 100 and equals +10 degrees of pitch.#3 in the curve reads 50 and equals "0" degrees of pitch. So the movement of the blade from mid stick to high stick is giveing you +10 degrees of total pitch. ( Idle up 1)
So the mid point between 50 and 100 is 75 ( + 5 degrees of pitch ). Which would be the value setting for point #4 in the pitch curve. Mid stick is 50, low stick is 0,so the point between them (Point #2) would have a value of 25 ( -5 degrees of pitch ).
I hope this may be of some small help.
Regards.

thanks for your help, i will use it as reference, i cannot Inhibit or leave a pitch curve blank on my radio?
