Hi guys,

Just thought i'd say hello from the uk. This site is great and i have got lots of great advice from it so far. I have a question.

Thinking of getting a new heli to put into a HeliArtist Airwolf and was thinking bout a 325SE. Have a TREX-450SE in a HeliArtist Hughes at mo.

My question is would you suggest the SE or just a standard 325? I am a stickler for having the best of everything which is why i got the TREX SE instead of the standard.
I doubt i'll be doing any 3d witht the Airwolf.

Any suggestions would be appreciated from your side of the pond.

I am too new at helis to make a good recommendation. However, my MT was a very solid and stable machine with the stock plastic parts. Of course I could not leave well enough alone and bought a metal head and tail for it. Why ? Who knows why I think I have to have stuff like a metal head for a heli that flies great without it. :arggg:

I've been thinking about this a fair bit.

I want one of those AH-1 Super Cobra fuselages, but I think putting it on my modified MT set up for spazzstic 3d is a complete waste, so for scale, I'm just going to pick up a basic kit and just replace the mixing arms and washout arms with metal to head off any tracking issues. Putting an SE in a fuse just seems like overkill to me, the base MT is a beautifully flying machine as it is. I think the black plastic head bits and white paddle look more "scale" than the hypergreen paddles and the chrome head of the SE.

After building up a stock model with a Kasama head, and many other aftermarket parts, including a scorpion -8 motor, I can truthfully tell you the MT 325 Base kit is just as good quality as the SE. So don't look at it as getting a substandard kit, just look at it as getting the "scale version".

I know what you're saying. I didn't want a Trex SA when I bought one. I wanted a Trex Se V2. You know what, if I was to buy a new trex for a scale project, I wouldn't put an SE V2 in it, I'd just get an SA.

My 2 cents.
