Today i finaly did my first roll on my mini-titan.. The first roll was the best because it was the fastest probably. I still have to figure out the pitch curves because i dont no were 0pitch is yet. its at 50% but its not at zero pitch?? so i was wondering where it was when i went upside down. I was very impressed. I was wondering if the tail was going to hold up and it did so i was very very happy. i did probably 3 right rolls and 2 left rolls.

Congratulations ! :clappp Have you still got a smile on your face ?
I did my first pirouettes today. Was nothing to it. I just had to work up the nerve to do it.

Congrats. I know how nerve racking it could be since I just started loops and rolls in January.

Cangrats!! I can't wait to do the same. How is your orientation? Can you hove nose in? I can hover tail and side to side no problem but I cant get the heli still enough to practice nose in.

I am working on nose in now, as well as ff. Yesterday evening I panicked about three feet off the ground and chopped the throttle / collective. :arggg: Skids and main shaft are all that got destroyed. The new blades did not even get scratched.
Thing is I was not even in trouble. All I had to do was calmly swing the tail around and gently set the MT down. Instead I have to pile drive it into the dirt. The worst is it looks like it will be Saturday or Monday at the earliest before I get the skids.

As you just discovered the skid are brittle and can't sustain any shock. I I can suggest that you look at the Gorilla gear, you won't have to change a landing gear in the heli lifetime..

Happy flying.

I keep about 4 pairs of skids in stock as well, they can break on hard landing

Hi, i worked a lot nose in with my simulator, one day when i was hovering tail in my heli turned nose in by mistake, and i hovered it nose in for a long time with no problem. Since then nose in is very very easy for me and i feel very comfortable when i do it. Now i am flying long eights and i feel i am ready to do some stall turns. I hope with no any crashes. Keep flying with no rush and a lot of simulator.

I am also working on ff and nose in hovering at this time. Prior to this, while practice hovering one day, my Trex 500 tail let loose or I unknowingly pushed the rudder stick. With the results being the heli stopping exactly nose in about five feet off the ground and ten feet in front of me. :wow2: Amazingly I kept cool and slowly swung the tail back to me and gently set the heli down.

I assume after you set it down...you also cleaned out your shorts?! :D

Absolutely. That is why I set the heli down even though the situation was under control at that point. :P I can whole heartedly assure you I have not forgotten the rush in my blood flow when that 500 swung around and looked at me. I wish someone would of had a camera on my face.

Someone had mentioned these to save your rig from hard landings.

as long as you let the skids take the brunt of the fall it looks like this should save some $$ on parts. They are definitely heavy, but available with hollow skids.
I Ordered a set and ill post back with the results.
And congrats on your first rolls, looking forward to mine.
