View Full Version : Expo and D/R
Ok, almost done with my evo and getting into the programming of the radio. Can someone please give me an explanation of exactly what Expo and D/R is. If I am understanding what I am finding, Expo allows you to adjust how sensative the controlls are at center stick. The D/R or dual rate is programmed into the radio in two different spots. Left and Right Rudder in the Gyro Sensativity screen as well as in the D/R & Expo screen as one percentage.

Check out "raptortechnique".
Mike Prewitt has an excellent site on Raptors. However it can apply to almost any heli.
In his "ratio set up". He explains Expo and D/R.

Visited the site and found one of the most helpful tips on noobie flying to date. (but muscle memory will eventually prevail someday I hope) Check it out. Always knew about the "flying as if you are looking out the front of the heli" idea, but this takes it to a higher level of understanding I never thought possible. Just don't look down at the TX/sticks too much! Memorize, memorize the images.;)
