My MD 500E with mx400 mechanics I chose the mx 400 because the tail servo is located in the frame, this made fitting the tail mechanics a breeze. The kit which I bought from E-bay was awsome the finish was topnoch. although it came with no instructions it wasnt had to figure out how it went together. I was quite suprised at how easy it was to build being my first semi scale bird and all. does anyone know at what headspeed should i run for scale flight?

Looks nice! Is that the MX400 with mechanical pitch? I've got an MX400 also that I thought about doing this, but was concerned the frame would be too long to fit into the Hughes body. The mechanical pitch versions have a longer frame with the elevator servo up in front compared to the ccpm versions..

yes its mechanical its one servo per function. the frame fits great no problems and its nice to have the tail servo in the frame. the longer frame helps with the CG. I hear alot of people saying there fuse is tail heavy. mine ballances perfectly. plus the kit only cost me 59 bucks this I belive they are no longer makeing these kits.
also you will need to put a trex boom and belt and 325 blades on to make it long enough to fit
