Hi,

While building my SE I used a Trueblood swashplate leveler to level my swashplate at mid stick.

When I move my stick to full up or down, one of the three axis is no longer level.

I can't seem to keep the swashplate level in all positions. Can I correct this somehow? I want the swashplate to remain level throughout its range of motion. Mechanical linkage is set to specs.

I'm using a Spektrum DX7 radio and am using the sub trims to initially level the swashplate at mid stick.

Thanks:arggg:

You'll have to mess around with the servo endpoints. See Finless Bob's T-Rex 450SE CCPM videos:

"using the sub trims to initially level the swashplate at mid stick"

I wouldn't do that. It's real important to get the mechanical connections correct. The subtrim should be used to get 90 deg angle between the servo arm and the control rod, once you've gotten it as close as possible without using any subtrim. The length of that rod should be adjusted to get the angle between the rod and the lever (bellcrank) at 90 deg. Then the length of the rod from that lever to the swash is adjusted to get the swash level. It's real important that all 3 servos be set up identically. This is done with the servo centered. To be sure the servo is centered, you can temporarily set pitch curve point #1 or point #5 to a value of 50 and then pull the stick all the way back or all the way forward, respectively. Trying to estimate half-stick is not quite as accurate. If you use subtrim to level the swash then the servos aren't set up identically to start with, and the mechanics will therefore not track identically, and the swash will go out of level as you move it.
