dx-7 and gy401

i have a dx-7 and the gy401 i cant get the gyro to come out off hh mode with the switch. i have the gain wire plugged into the gear port on the reciever , and set it all up as per the directions of both the radio and gyro. ive even tried the aux 2 channel and that wont pull the gyro out of hh mode either. am i missing something . need help . its driving me nuts!!!:arggg:

Go into the initial model programming, the one where you selct if its airplane or heli programming and go to the input select screen. Make aux2 aux2 and gear gear. now when you hit the gear switch it really is actuating the gear channel and not something else.

Also make sure that the gear channel enpoints are different, one has to be above 50 to be in HH mode and one has to be below 50 for rate mode.

Also check that Auto function has not been enabled in your gyro sys settings.
