After having the OS 50 hyper, i got the YS 50,
Is there a different procedure to starting this motor? is seem that is locks up after every start,
Do i have to unplug the check valve while fueling? i tried that and it is still locking up,
I have a high torque starter now, and it is still locking up, and i don't want to burn this one up to,
can anyone help?

Clamp the fuel line to kill the engine (And leave it clamped). Then, immediately release the preasure in the tank. Re-fuel, and don't unclamp the fuel line until you're ready to start the engine.

BTW, that advice also goes for the OS50.

interesting, i never had that problem with it, the OS doesn't pressurize the fuel take tho, does it?

Also, when you are going to start it, lean your heli towards the muffler. Any fuel in the cyclinder will go out the exhaust port and stop hydro locking on you.

sparky,
Actually poptart taught me this so I know he knows. Lean the heli toward the muffler. I am on OS50 still but I like the YS. Would love to see him get it going right.
Where we live and fly it is soo windy and dusty. I hope this motor is the answer to his problems but I fear it is the dirt.
