I thought that I had seen on one of the threads here that the v-bar could be used on 8v? The manual says up to 7.5v. Anyone confirm or deny? If confirm is there a link to their site about the voltage?

Also what is the IC sensor? I have the new version that doesnt have the airspeed sensor on it.

Thanks

Don't know anything about the max voltage, other than what the manual says. Sorry.

As for the IC sensor...you got me as to exactly what it does. The default setting for the newer versions (with the usb, not the serial connector), is 85, and is suggested to be left there. However, the v-bar help site (www.v-stabi.de) has some info on increasing the rotation rate of the tail (if needed...mine did). They state a "trick" to getting more tail rotation rate (if the usual adjustments don't give you enough), is to decrease the IC sensor value.

As for the airspeed sensor, the newer programming allows the system to work without it. In my own terms, the "extended mode" can be enabled , which is intended to handle any pitching up or down in fast forward flight (which the original airspeed sensor was designed to deal with). However, my Logo 600 doing modern day 3D type flying works great in the "classic mode". I haven't seen a need to enable the "extended mode" (which complicates things some, as certain parameter adjustments have to be made while in the classic mode).

Take care, Dave.

As far as voltage the Vstabi is good for 9 volts without issue, I run 8.4 2S lipo through mine, works fine.

Thanks for the replies guys! Im glad it will handle 2s, that makes things much easier. So it seems the IC sensor is already included with the latest v-bar? Its not another unit that needs to be purchased. It only needs to be given a value in the programming.

Thanks again. Im sure ill figure out more as I install it.

Yea just click on IC Sensor on the expert rudder page and that then selects that mode.

Finally have my 600 ready for the programming stage. Unfortuneately, i cant even get the program to recognize the v-bar unit. USB cable is connected, unit on heli has power, servos work through the tx, but the connection status on the toolbar still says "No Connection"

Thoughts?

Thanks

Has anyone had issues with the male male servo leads included with the v-bar? Mine were intermittent and would cause either no operation of the elevator, or everything would glitch out and get stuck in some strange oscilation. I replaced all the leads and it seems fine now. Might maiden it tomorrow, sorta nervous.

I had some funny glitces when the Central Unit was near the AR7000 satellite receiver which I thought was strange - if you're on 2.8 you didn't have the satellite extension lead running near them did you ?

I had the extension running somewhere near but not on top of. I will attempt to isolate the two. Thanks for the tip.
