Hi all, just a quick one, when i have replaced my servos and had my Rx updated, at what stage do i rebind? before i do all the setting up? or do i set everything up then re-bind it? after reading the book I'd say i do it first up, but just thought I'd ask as this is my first time taking the heli to bits
also can i rebind it to model 1 = Blade 400, then work from there or do i have to start all over again with a fresh model slot and reset everything from scratch? do i just unplug the motor when doing the binding, seeing as i have to start the Rx first to bind it to the Tx?
thanks for your continued help guys
cheers chuck

Yes you can re-bind to model one and no re-binding is the last thing you do in your setup process.

Rebind always and rebind often (sounds a little like the save document instructions for Micro$oft...)
You will have to rebind first up so you can reset the centre trims on your new servos etc.. Then, once any changes are made to the center trims etc, you will need to rebind to tell your receiver the new default centre positions for power fail operation. I dont believe their is an issue with rebinding more often than needed.
My only beef is the rebind process on the TX requires switching on with the trainer switch held forward. I have done this accidentally twice now when the TX was sitting on my jacket and when I had it on the bench - both times there was something in the way that had pushed the trainer switch forward accidentally and attempted to rebind, unfortunately tho this wipes the current binding from the TX and requires a proper rebind to get it working again.
Unfortunately for me, I have an external BEC running in the battery position so a rebind is a pain.

But you have to hold the trainer switch while turning the power on, you dont check everything before hitting the power switch?
What BEC is that? my and all I know of the ESC plugs into the BEC and the BEC plugs into the throttle channel......are you sure you have that wired correctly?

Mine connects directly to the battery for the input and then plugs into the battery port. The red wire from the ESC is removed from the throttle plug. The other versions, with a plug and socket, simply splice this lead from the ESC and automatically removes the power lead.
I could make the same by adding a socket to it, but to be honest its no big deal, the cheaper one that I have used is just as easy to plug into the battery socket (eacept of course until I need to rebind.......)
