I've seen a few other kits that came the same way, mine has a metal and has 2 pins, I'm not sure it'd affect anything as I'm assuming the washout assembly shouldn't slide out of the pins so, but I could be wrong about that. In case you're concerned about it BPHobbies has a metal washout kit

or the regular version

They do sell just that piece but they are out of stock

I kinda started building mine, got stuck though cause I need to buy some tools I don't have:thumbdown:, but I still have to buy some batteries and a charger, then figure out how to make everything work, let me know how yours comes out

if memory serves me right there is no where to stick another one on the otherside. I'm just gonna get the metal one.
Edit: look at the OP's top pic you'll see what I mean.

mine is like that.. just bring the stick to full pitch..slide the pin down, lock in place.. mixer arm will stay in place..

WEll just built mine, seems you all got some older versions.. here is what mine came with. Your flybar cage is also plastic, mine came in Metal and Trex style.. In addition your swashplate is completly plastic, mine is partial metal... (it pays to wait a while before you buy :) )
