Yahoo tail vibration gone!

I've been fixing my 400 tail vibration at 3/4 to full stick. The vibration is up-down movement of the tail and shakes the whole heli even the canopy was pulled from the anchors. Yah I replaced everything tail rotor shaft,bearings,tail boom,shaft/pulley near the main gear,rotor blades and screws but didn't work. Then I replaced the tail belt today and she flies goods now.

And now I got to test the 325 pro woodies that I bought but the wind is very hard again to day. I tried backyard hovering and the heli was thrown everywhere. I'll try again tomorrow.

Yah I've been crash free for about 2 1/2 weeks now. I'm just zipping around the backyard with light forward and backward flight.

I've had a similar vibration that I haven't been able to isolate.
Hadn't thought to check the belt. I'll have to give it a look.
Did you find anything specific wrong with the belt you removed?

Well at times there is a few fibers in the tail boom which means it rubbed at one point. The teeth are not flat some low and some normal,no missing tooth. I changed everything except the tail casing and the last one is the belt and its gone. That little high and lows in the belt teeth side gave that nasty vibration. Check your and lemme know.

Went home and replaced the belt last night... vibration gone. :clappp
Wow, wouldn't have thunk it.
There was a stretch of around 8-10 teeth on the belt that were somewhat worn.

How nice. You never know till you pull it out and inspect closely huh. Same here little high n low big vibrations.

Yeap I got a vibration going and my belt has worn out, SO what can I do but to order the belt or 2 and replace it. :) but I will be also replacing bearings as well. Since it would be taken off.

Wish me luck :) Would rather replace 450s tail. :)

Yah no big deal so I change the boom,shaft,pulley,bearings and the rotor blade the same time. And don't forget to lube with triflo and tension it to stock specs. And you are good to go, HAPPY FLYING.
