I had a bad auto (boom strike) approx 1 week ago. The crash messed up the tail housing so I used parts off my old sport to get the bird up again. All settings stayed the same on radio and 401. Now the tail holds but it wags in a hover pretty bad. I have taken the tail apart and everything looks good. The tail grips have a tiny bit of play in them but they had this before the crash with no problems. Suggestions please I want to get back to flying.

Check EVERYTHING for binding.

the tail case should have no bearing on the wag, so go over everything from the servo to the grips and look for binding as Jeremy suggested.
Did you notice any up/down wobble or check the tail output shaft for trueness?
Pop the link off the back, move slider to outside position and turn the shaft while touching the bellcrank with your finger, if the bellcrank moves, the shaft is bent.
I also removed two guides to free up the pushrod, you may want to look for binding there.
