Hi everyone

Been following Dierwolf and others Mods for some time now and I finally find myself at a point where I dont think there is anything else I can Mod:confused:

Last thing I saw which I was looking at was that tail weight mod just before you all departed from the previous forums.

What are the latest mods? Only thing I dont have is a carbon fibre frame. But thats out of choice. I dont have a HH gyro but I have read conflicting reports on them.

Anyone got a link for the best dampers out there for the belt at the moment?

Any suggestions on some nice mods appreciated. (yes I have read the Trex thread, I tested the Trex boom and belt;) for it).

Ok

Full CNC Esky Head, Motor mount, Swash plate guide
Align 315 Carbon Weighted blades
Castle creations Phoneix 35A ESC
Some SG90 servos
Trex Boom/Belt/Canopy Mounts
Gorilla Programmable Paddles, Low profile landing skids
Ark X400 CNC main gear
Carbon Hori and Vert Fins
Microheli Pro tail
K&B Blades
Direct to swash mod

Not wanting to change to Trex setup head yet as I havent had this head long and want to get some use out of it for a while befire replacing it.

Also wasnt that bothered about the carbon fibre frame as I will probably crash:YeaBaby:

Nah change the head:YeaBaby: (joking)
Grant put align washout arms on the ESky head
which gave him much better control so that may be worth a try! (They are longer and so give greater control throws.:))

All the best Ian

One presumes Andy that you have already got a better Tx than the pEsky 0406, as most aces here suggest a "good" Tx is one of the premier upgrades...

Isn't this a fine time for a resurrected "Best Mods & Alternative non-Trex Parts" thread?

Good idea wibble.

No I havent got a good TX. That is the only mod that haunts me as I get some interference. I have £100 spare so im thinking to buy it but still holding off at the moment. Have seen the arms and debated it myself.

I see my acreditation isnt on the thread for Trex mods:(

Best Mods is a good idea.

I am in market for new Tx, but don't know whether to go for a 7 channel. The beat price I have found for a Spektrum DX6i 2.4 is £90 on the quick boy site. Have just tested my rework of the DTS, and it is very good, and the next time I stove it in, i have the CNC head/tail to put on.

Cheers Andy,

Mike

A new TX will make a huge difference, you dont think it will, but it does! even with general flying, apart from being alot more precise and no more glitching the characteristics can be set to ecactly how you like. It transformed my belt cp.

OK will do! Just need a few days cos workload's bogging me down a bit right now. Or is it just my brain, :arggg: as usual!!?

Also, expect to see a highly detailed photographic guide to the two rear servos DTS mod soon.

Next major Mod is to go Flybarless.

I may try this this weekend and see how it goes... Always like a challenge when flying.

With which heli Wolfy?

Are you doing this just for experience or is there somthing to gain perfomance wise?

will the Esky servos e strong enough?

Ian:thumbup:

DierWolf

Will they be strong enough? dont know we will find out...

Doing it for experience yes, test my mechanical setup abilities plus Better cyclic always helps any heli and less drag = longer flying times.

I'll do it with a plastic head set i have first to see hwo she responds, then i will order an additional Trex head possibly the one on Xheli and do the conversion...

Dont want to use stabalization system... seems everyones falling for that crap as if its needed for flybarless... all it is is Helicommand stabalizing the entire heli when no stick input is done and added EXPO, which the Expo yu can do on your radio very easily, the rest is for people who can't fly is what i think :) Some people making bookoo bucks on this "flybarless stabalization" systems LOL..

I think he'll need to give in and get a new one:YeaBaby:
It does look awesome and sleak without the flybar, also less to break in a crash. Do you think 3D will be better flybarless?
I know the synergy N9 has great success wthout it.

Ive been looking, but with the recent crash and motor replacement i think it will need to go on hold for a short while. Will keep you updated

Check the flybarless forum, Works perfect in 3D much faster cyclic..

As for radio, yeah i'll have to upgrade, but for the time being just be very very very easy on the sticks. with flybarless it doesnt take much to get what you want..
